HousingHomeless families need more than a place to live. They need the resources and skills to secure and maintain employment, find child care, and/or secure transportation among other issues. The Direct Housing Program assists homeless families in obtaining and maintaining permanent housing while linking families to existing community resources along with case management and on-going family support. The Salvation Army participates in a Family Housing Collaborative comprised of several organizations that provide housing services, including Jewish Family services, Lutheran Family Services, Catholic Social Services and the YWCA Hospitality Center. Who is Eligible: Eligible candidates must be a homeless family residing in a shelter with a referral from the YWCA Interfaith Hospitality Network family shelter or one of the 3 Delaware organizations including People in Need, Helpline or the Delaware Department of Job and Family Services. How to Access the Program: Through the Homeless Shelter System For more information, contact us at Info@salvationarmycolumbus.org. |
